Melodie the Mermaid is a mystical creature who was once shipwrecked by a nasty hurricane that swept over the Cove. She fell overboard from a cruise liner and was saved from drowning by the water nymphs, who were entranced by her beauty and charmed with her knowledge of potions and glamour secrets. They convinced Melodie to surrender her land life in exchange for fins and eternal life in the blue-green waters.
